Finally my string quilt

I finally finished my string quilt that I started last June. I started this quilt while recovering from surgery for thyroid cancer so I call this my recovery quilt. Not sure why it took me so long to finish!

I completed the binding while on a road trip in New Mexico. Finished the day we arrived at White Sands National Monument. So here it is with a white sand background!

It was extremely windy so we took a few flying quilt pictures.

The back is pieced with a green Ikea bed sheet, a pair of Old Navy fishie pajamas, and a few miscellaneous fabrics.
