March is Amber's month and she chose quilt blocks in the style of Denyse Schmidt's Drunk Love in a Log Cabin. Other quilter's have made quilts in this style here and here and I love them!
Here are my two blocks. I added in the Hope Valley stripes in the first block-hope that's okay Amber!
I have been reading Jean Wells' book Intuitive Color & Design so I set aside the ruler for cutting these pieces. I only used the ruler for squaring up the block. What fun it was to cut freely! (oh, and I highly recommend this book but more on that in another post).
This is going to be a spectacular quilt, Amber. I love the colors and this style!
And keep drinking in that log cabin bee ladies because I plan on doing this same quilt style for my May blocks. Except mine will come with a side of Munki. :)
